The Aoki Group story begins with my grandfather, Yunosuke Aoki, a samurai descendant. He was the first in the family to open a restaurant. His idea was to create a place where people can “make friends while eating great food.” This thought was the inspiration for my dad, Rocky Aoki, the founder of the world-famous Benihana. Not one to argue, every Aoki Group restaurant design and menu reflects the same philosophy.

East Meets West

Doraku Sushi

Doraku Sushi takes a modern approach to the art of sushi. Modeled after an Izakaya (Japanese gastropub), the indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar mixes delicious food and artisanal cocktails in a lively and upbeat atmosphere. Whether guests stop in for lunch, happy hour, dinner, or a late-night bite, it is the commitment service and attention to detail that makes the Doraku experience live up to its name: the “road to happiness.”

Southeast Asian with French Flare

1938 Indochine

Restaurateur Kevin Aoki has traveled worldwide while opening numerous restaurant concepts, and wherever he goes, he constantly samples the local cuisine and makes friends along the way. With 1938 Indochine, he intended to bring that same feeling and the exotic flavors of Southeast Asia’s famous street food culture to Honolulu. When guests enter the restaurant and experience the curated décor, which he personally hand-selected and shipped back to Hawaii, they will feel as if they have time-traveled to another era.

Eatertainment

Aoki Teppanyaki

AOKI Teppanyaki withholds the legacy of “Eater-tainment” invented by Kevin Aoki’s father, Hiroaki “Rocky” Aoki, who coined the term during the 50-year long reign as the world-famous, Benihana. When guests arrive at the massive family-style “teppanyaki” (iron plate grill) tables, professionally trained chefs appear in sleek, black, samurai-inspired uniforms. The show begins as the chefs prepare each dish with a fiery, dramatic display.

Traditional Vietnamese Noodle Bar

Qing Mu Noodle

Inspired by the northern and southern regions of Vietnam, the recipes at Qing Mu are refreshing and full of flavor. Customer favorites include the house Banh Mi special with belly pork, Vermicelli, and a variety of Pho dishes, including the hearty Ribeye Beef Pho. Available for dine-in or takeout. Qing Mu Noodle is a charming eatery that features quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods. To dine-in or grab and go.

Holistic Lifestyle

Bluetree Café

Restaurateur Kevin Aoki and his brother, Music Producer/EDM Deejay Steve Aoki, created Bluetree Café, a calm oasis for guests to grab a healthy snack, fresh juices, coffee, and tea. The inspiration for the indoor/outdoor cafe was their grandfather, Yunosuke Aoki, who was the first in their family to open a coffee shop in Nihonbashi, Japan. Yunosuke would travel four miles on a bicycle to Tokyo to collect sugar, return to his shop, and offer it free to enhance his customer’s coffee experience. The variety of vintage bicycles that decorate the walls of the café is a nod to him and his entrepreneurial spirit.

Inaka Style Japanese Cuisine

Kuru Kuru Pa

Kuru Kuru Pa is a unique Japanese anime-themed food stall created by the Aoki Brothers comprised of Grammy-nominated DJ/Producer Steve Aoki and celebrated restaurateur Kevin Aoki. Part of the Famous Foods Food Hall at the new Resorts World Las Vegas, it features the best of grilled and skewered foods, aka kushiyaki. The name Kuru Kuru Pa, which translates to “crazy” in Japanese, matches the design of its colorful and energetic space, giving guests a sense of excitement as if dining at a Southeast Asian hawker-style street market, complete with Steve’s anime video on the LED screen.
